Let There Be Light on My Work #BlogchatterBlogHop

A few days ago, I created a comic strip based on my drabble "Quaint," which I wrote for the Blogchatter A2Z Challenge.

The stage light stays there, but the person on whom the light shines changes.

That is the essence of life. And it keeps repeating.

There is only one person who comes to mind when I think of the term "Stage Light": Shah Rukh Khan. Even though he hasn't had any releases in the past 3 years, and, barring Pathan and Jawan, his earlier movies haven't done quite well, he is still, and has been, the one on whom the stage lights are on all the time. His rise and shine can be associated with his songs, too.

" Dil hai mera deewana"- a simple boy dreaming of making it big

" Chand Taare Tod Lau"- he starts his journey by working hard and dreaming more

" I'm the best."- he achieves what he had desired for, now he knows his worth

I love movies, so I will always talk about them. However, I understand this topic wants me to talk about myself. I am a simple person, and I have no intention to come under the stage light. Neither am I a singer nor a dancer; I fumble over my words, which bars the possibility of being a good speaker. What I can do is write, and if my writing makes it to the centre stage, I would be really happy. If my voice is heard through my work, I would be grateful. In that way, if I make it to the centre stage, I would feel blessed. I would stay away from being a seat side as well, as I avoid crowds. I love to be in my own world, doing my thing peacefully. If my written stories get attention, I am being recognised for that, and I get under the stage lights, it would mean the whole world. Other than that, if I ever feel like I am getting attention, it has to do with the Spotlight Effect. Instead of a stage light, it may end up being stage fright. However, as much as I would avoid unnecessary attention, I would also not tolerate disrespect upon expressing my opinion. If someone disagrees with me and my opinion, it's fine, but showing disrespect is not. And covert disrespect is more dangerous. So, if there is light on me, let it be for the right reason.
