They laughed at how he talked, how he walked, how he dressed. He did not care, he kept on doing what he did best- telling stories. He told stories that touched hearts, enriching souls. His stories through his movies carried layers of human emotions that left a mark on the audience. The critics of his " Being different" were silenced. Through his art, he pulled the Bengali movie loving audience back to theatres. Rituparno Ghosh whom we lost in 2013, had given us some fantastic films. Before his death, in a career spanning almost 25 years his movies had spoken of people, relationships, broken hearts. He had also made movies on book adaptations. We just wish we could get him around more, for such authentic storytelling.
