5 Actors We Miss Watching on Screen
Does it ever happen to you that you are watching a film, and there is a particular character that reminds you of a similar character you had watched in another film long back? Or perhaps, you feel that actor might have done it differently if the role was played by him. It happens to me quite often and so today I have enlisted 5 actors I miss watching these days. There have been controversies around their personal lives, but let's not forget the immense talent they possess by which they had entertained us for so long.
Top 5 Actors We Miss Watching on Screen
1. Kevin Spacey: An actor who doesn't have to do much to steal the limelight, for sure. An Academy Award winner, for his outstanding role in American Beauty, the actor has shown us glimpses of his talent in movies like The Usual Suspects, Seven etc. We genuinely miss his onscreen presence.
2. Cameron Diaz: A little birdie told us she is happy with her life, away from glitz and glam. But we surely miss her on screen glam. She had a rare sass around her. Starting from her first ever screen appearance in The Mask, she had given us some lovely performances. There's Something About Mary, Charlie's Angels, Bad Teacher, In Her Shoes- her presence was like fresh peaches on a summer afternoon. ( not sorry for the cringe 😬). We want her back.
3. James Franco: We cannot deny the fact that when we watched Spiderman the man who stole the spotlight for us was Franco as Harry Osborne. And more than Marie Jane's death, Osborne's death brought a tear or two in our rather dry eyes. He had given some remarkable performances after that. Where other charming actors of his time went for big fms, he opted to be in small Indipendent films. 127 Hours, Pineapple Express, True Crime, James Dean- where is he? We can feel his void.
4. Eric Bana: The Australian actor had captured many a hearts with his presence as Hector, in Troy. I somehow liked him as Hulk in the film, Hulk. Then there was Munich and who can forget that. And finally The Time Traveller's Wife. He has a presence, that is very subtle yet can't be ignored, and that stays for a long time with the audience. We would have loved to watch him in a Victorian romance.
5. Edward Norton: Hmm I know he is still working, but he is so selective that the audience who love to watch his performance miss him most of the time. Primal Fear, Fight Club, The Incredible Hulk, American History X, The Illusionist....we want more like these. Primal Fear's Aaron is one of the best antagonist one can think of.
Tobey Mcguire also is highly missed these days. We enjoyed his performances in the earlier Spiderman franchise and Cider House Rules.
