Take It Easy-Work, Pause, Restart

2025 was amazing for me in respect to travelling, with one family trip to Rajasthan and one solo trip to Goa (thanks to Blogchatter). However, it wasn't that great for my health goals. I have started this year with a conscious effort to improve my health. Let's see how it goes.

What went wrong in 2025

2025 had been a milestone year in my life, as I finally became a published author. For that, I had spent many sleepless nights and pages of drafts and ended up being published in 9 anthologies so far, in a single year. This had affected my health habits, and since I had been taking care of the family all this time, I found very little time to pay attention to my own health. Because whatever time I got for myself, I spent it in writing and reading.

The Lifestyle I am Looking Forward To in 2026:

Eating Correctly: I had not been eating right throughout last year, especially during the entire festive season, which led to unhealthy eating habits. This year, I am being extra careful about this, as my health records have already reached the hazardous range, and I have received strong reminders from all my physicians.

Being Outdoors: I tend to get too comfortable at home. I go for walks once a day, but that's all about it. However, this year I am trying to get out of the house more often. Grocery shopping, buying fruits, stationery, and simply enjoying nature.

Easy on Writing/Reading: I have consciously reduced my writing time this year. This has actually helped me form the habit of spending an hour or two every day on my laptop, rather than slogging through the entire day between my other work (I am a homemaker). Also, I am not restricting my writing to just one platform; I pick up my diary and pen most often nowadays.

Restricting Digital Time: I used to scroll through my phone for hours, leading to long, unproductive stretches. This year, I want to make sure that even when I am on my phone, it's either music, podcasts, or Kindle.

Learning: I have enrolled in a few courses and will be finishing those at my own pace- no hurry.

Overall, my lifestyle mantra for this year is to take it easy, one step at a time, pause and restart.
