Losing Herself #WriteAPageADay

She is holding onto the iron railing. A slip of her grip, and everything ends. Her life was beautiful; she was kind until her kindness turned into her weakness. She could never say no. She wanted to make everyone happy, to please them all. She often forgot about herself in the process. Everyone started using her. They started pestering her with jobs and responsibilities she was under no obligation to take on. But she took them and did everything in her power to make it happen. When she finally gathered the courage to say no, everyone abandoned her. She was cornered, judged for grounding. Her near and dear ones, who never complimented her or said anything good about her, as if it was her duty to be with them, left her. Still, she managed to get up every day and carry on with her life. She was nothing special, just a normal human being who was tested every moment. But today, she has decided, she has no power within her to go through this ordeal. Her mere existence has become like a burden to her. She tried to love herself, to choose herself. But somehow, whenever she rises and shines, the world brings in thousands of reasons for her to fall again. It has been a repeated cycle in her life. Despite her efforts, resilience, and consistency, she has failed to go through. So today, she wants to end it all. It's just a few minutes. Just loosening her fists and then losing herself.
