Getting McAvoyed #BlogchatterHalfMarathon Day 7
I had to do this; I was almost called to do it. By whom? By None, by my current movie mood. And that says just one name, James McAvoy. Isn't he ageing like a fine old wine? I find him extremely suave and stylish with his Scottish accent and deep voice. His performances in every film I have watched have been incredible. So let's discuss him today, but how? I would pick up the Top 5 Movies of his that are on my Watchlist, and that I had not watched. This would not include the Marvel ones with him as Professor X. Neither have I watched those, nor do I have any plans to do so in the near future (as of now). I would also pick a few of his Stylish appearances that can melt hearts. So, let's begin?
5 Movies of James McAvoy on My Watchlist
1. Bollywood Queen: This 2002 Indo-British movie is a modern-day adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. This is one of McAvoy's earlier films, in which he plays Jay, a country lad who comes to London to join his brother and gets into a romance by chance with a Gujarati girl from a business family. Things start to turn violent when both their families get to know about their affair.
I would definitely love to watch this film, as what could be more interesting than watching McAvoy in the role of a modern-day Romeo, with a positive ending, no less.
2. Starter For Ten: Adapted from the novel of the same name, by David Nicholls, this film is about a first-year English Literature student, Brian, who aims to take part in the popular show, University Challenge. A series of attempts, both in academic and personal life, led to his depression, until finally he found a reason to come out of it.
I am interested in watching this film because of its unusual story and because it stars McAvoy.
3. Becoming Jane: It's strange, I have still not watched this movie. But now that I know it stars Anne Hathaway and McAvoy in the lead, it has made a place in my list. It is about Jane Austin's younger days and her romantic phase with hot-headed lawyer Thomas Lefroy. A wonderful premise. Right?
I would love to watch this romantic drama film, starring McAvoy as Lefroy.
4. Trance: Directed by Danny Boyle, this movie is making it to my watchlist, now. It is a thriller, with a very interesting story of art theft. McAvoy plays Simon, an art dealer.
The cast is strong in the film, and given that Boyle is the director, we can expect an exciting viewing experience.
5. The Conspirator: This film, directed by Robert Redford, is about Mary Surratt, a woman convicted in the conspiracy of President Lincoln's assassination. McAvoy plays Frederick Aiken, a war veteran who is the only one who believes in Surratt's innocence and supports her.
The historical film sounds very interesting, and I would also be interested, as Redford is the director.
5 Stylish Appearances of James McAvoy
When a man is named as the face of Prada, surely he has the style in him. Whether it's casual, lounge, sports, or formal wear, he has maintained a sense of class in every type of outfit. I am a big fan of formal wear, and he is mostly seen wearing that. Let's look into some of his stylish appearances:
1.
A buttoned-up brown shirt paired with black trousers and a black suit looks so elegant on him, not to forget his impeccable hairstyle.
