October 3 is celebrated as World Smile Day. Smile- a gesture that has almost lost its run in today's world. We seldom see people smiling at each other. Isn't it something we should practice more and more? Although I have no intention of making this a preaching session about the importance of a smile, I can do better by compiling a list of some Classic Bengali Comedy films that are sure to bring a smile. 1. Sharey Chuattar: This 1953 movie is a hilarious comedy featuring Tulsi Chakraborty, Malina Devi, Uttam Kumar, Suchitra Sen, and Bhanu Bandopadhyay in leading roles. The story revolves around a hostel owner in Kolkata whose family lives in a village. The hostel is primarily occupied by bachelor tenants who become intrigued by a beautiful young woman who moves in with her family. A Silent Love Story

This visit to Kolkata was my first in nearly a decade. The last time I came here was before I moved to Hyderabad . My parents visit us every year, but I never get a chance to see the city. This brand of Colombian brew was available only in a store that came on the way to Apoorva's office, a shop where one gets all varieties of imported grocery items. There were Danish cookies , Swiss and Belgian chocolates , Scottish shortbreads and a wide range of coffee from different parts of the world. Apoorva, well aware of Mahi's fondness for coffee, used to get different types at the beginning. But Mahi got stuck with this one, as it had the aroma and rich flavour that she preferred in her coffee.  Coffee was more than just a hot beverage for Mahi; it was a collection of emotions and a visua...
