Pratim D Gupta's film, Love Aaj Kal Porshu, is enjoyable sci-fi, leaving you with a pleasant feeling.

Synopsis

Abhirup Roy is a famous musician, and Tripti is a cricketer. They meet at the luxurious Paradise Hotel and develop a romantic relationship. Throughout their stay, they encounter various people at the hotel who warn them not to go outside due to a political strike. The next morning, however, Abhirup wakes up as Abhijit, and Tripti wakes up as Taniya. 

The twist is that these two individuals are actually part of a reality show called "Prothom Dekha," run by Kalki, the owner of the hotel and the producer of the show. Using hypnotherapy, the show's creators implant different identities in the minds of the two lead actors each night, so they wake up with new personalities every day.

What unfolds afterwards? Do they continue participating in the show? Who are the real lead actors? All these details are revealed gradually.

Review and Significance

The concept of the movie is intriguing and reminds me a bit of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." The lighthearted and somewhat childish dialogues between the two characters feel very sweet. Their connection oddly evolves into romance each time, even surprising the creators of the show. Each day, they start anew without any memory of the previous day, yet they fall in love with each other again and again. The film beautifully illustrates that the heart knows no bounds of time, mind, or memory. It is indeed the most powerful thing we possess.

The lead couple, Arjun Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarkar, look adorable and fresh together. Paoli, as the powerful lady Kalki, is convincing, and Anirban Chakraborty, as Ganesh, is superb as usual.

Overall, "L" ove Aaj Kal Porshu is a nice film with a fresh concept.

"Myself Bakul from Baroda." A 30 something man approached Brenda. She was startled by the man's attire. She had never seen so many colours on a man before.
