6 Upcoming Films to Watch

It's been a while since I watched a good film that was recently released. The last one I watched was November-December. I was trying to make a list of films I would love to watch by going through some trailers. And here are some films that I thought would be interesting to watch. So this is my wishlist:

1. Skincare: Skincare is my passion, and how can I not watch this film. Elizabeth Banks stars in this film as Hope, a skincare Queen trapped badly in some financial mess. The trailer looks glamorous initially, with Hope (Banks) shown as a super confident businesswoman, proud of her glory. However, one email ruins it all for her, and finally, she realizes she is in a big mess and that no one can help her get through except herself. This film is slated to release in 2016.

2. Speak No Evil: I have watched the original, and despite knowing how sickening the story is, I choose to watch the English remake. The sole reason is James McAvoy. The man has the capability to be the best of the best and the creepiest of the creepiest, and here he is at his creepiest best. One of the most compelling scenes in the trailer is the one where Patrick (McAvoy) confuses his guests about his status as a doctor. His creepiness is spine-chilling. The way he laughs at his own jokes and the way he punishes his son for dancing off the beat - the trailer gives out a glimpse of the Devil Patrick is. It is going to release in September and it is not for the faint-hearted.

3. We Live in Time: This is the most beautiful trailer I have seen this year. Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh look so much in love (in the film). The story seems interesting and the trailer perfectly blends in all the ingredients to attract the audience's interest. There are moments of joy, passion, playfulness and sadness, there is everything a family has to go through. Can't wait for the film to release in January 2025.

4. Trap: It has been a while that I have watched M. Knight Shyamalan's films. This trailer makes me curious for various reasons. First of all, it's a Shyamalan film, and going by his track record, who can forget his gems like The Sixth Sense, The Visit and my all-time favourite- Split. Secondly, seeing Josh Hartnett in the lead after such a long time is another boon. He was a heartthrob and looked dashing in films like Pearl Harbour, Black Dahlia, 30 Days of Night etc. Interestingly this film has him as a cruel killer. Well, of course, I am going to watch it. The movie releases in August.

5. Mother's Instinct: Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain star in this movie set up in the 60s. The trailer begins with two mothers, mostly bonding over their sons' friendship. However, a sudden fatal accident changes it all , when the reality and imagination start challenging each other in one of the mother's mind. I am sure, just like the trailer the film will be as thrilling to watch, with two very accomplished actresses.

6. Here: Watching a Fantasy film can be either boring or an unforgettable experience. The trailer gives hope for a good experience as a viewer. Tom Hanks and Robin Wright look adorable as the couple and the periodic transformations look marvellous. I am sure this film is going to be a visual extravaganza, and with Tom Hanks, we are sure to witness a power-pact performance. The film will release in November.
