I had such an amazing weekend in Goa . Not only that, my very first book was launched, along with 17 other authors from different parts of India . Did I ever dream of this? The book part, well, yes- I had sown a subtle intention towards it, that had been submerged in a deep slumber for long. But the opportunity to interact with other writers and bloggers, and the consistent drive to keep on writing, have driven me to try for the unknown. The solo trip part was something I had never even dreamt of..never ever. While I might have travelled for work before, I have never travelled for a retreat alone. But it happened, and I am grateful for that. As I said, I had always treasured a subtle desire to write my own book, but frankly, I did not realise it would happen so soon. I love to go with the flow, generally. I come across to people as very easy-going and silent, always ready to listen and lend a shoulder for their issues. The celebrations have started, and for this year, I have a playlist. Here are a few songs that can be played for the festivities. 1. Dholi Taro : This is a playful song, with spirited music by Ismail Darbar and voices of Vinod Rathod and Kavita Krishnamoorthy . The stunning screen presence of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai makes it the most memorable one too. 2. Chogada : This beautiful song is sung by Darshan Raval and Asees Kaur . Travel makes me happy, and this weekend I am going on a trip—actually, I'm travelling solo for the first time in a while, and I am thrilled about it! There’s a long list of things I prepare at least a week in advance before I travel. I focus on multifunctional clothes and a couple of pairs of shoes because I love to travel light. While my husband prefers to use a suitcase for his short trips, I always opt for an extra handbag.  My general handbag is always large enough to fit everything I might want to carry. I’m also really into skincare, so my travel bag wouldn’t be complete without a good selection of skincare products, though I always ensure to bring travel-sized versions. Mahalaya is on the 21st of September this year. I know it's pretty early, and we are yet to recover from the heavy rains, to get ready for the festivities. This year, I feel completely unprepared; it feels like someone is going to appear for the Board Exam without the last-minute revision. But we cannot deny the fact that Durga Puja is just a few days away, and no matter what, we need to welcome the Goddess and her family with a whole heart. The usual terms that come to anyone associated with Bengali culture are Dhak, Ashwin month, Kash Phool, Sarat kaal and Agomoni. I had been concentrating more on watching old movies these days, so there were very few newly released films that I could manage to watch. Today I am going to write about 4 of these films. 1. Follow : This film is about a con artist who follows and traps rich women with his charm and then runs away with their money. One night, as he is about to retire, he meets with an accident and has a chance meeting with a woman, which changes his entire life. This is an underwhelming thriller that could have been much better. Somewhere, the thrill fails to create any stir of curiosity and often falls flat.  2. Drop : This is a good one-time watch film, where a widowed mother, with a traumatic past, tries dating, but is tormented constantly by someone over her phone, where she is instructed to carry out an atrocious task to save his son, back at home. My relationship status with sports is complicated. While it has been prolonged, it has never felt profound. I've always been surrounded by sports in some way, but I've never truly been invested in them. To illustrate the varying degrees of my connection with sports, I've decided to outline different phases of my life, each revolving around my experiences with sports. 1. As a Toddler: Like any average toddler, my early years included occasional visits to parks, where I played with other kids and enjoyed the rides. This fun era ended with a disastrous fall from a cane stool , as I was perhaps testing my skills as a budding gymnast. The result? A blood-soaked chin that required seven stitches.
