5 Films of Big Stars When They were Young

Image
So today is the most exciting part of the week, the day I write my blog. Today, I will be discussing a few films of actors who were young when they acted in these films but later on made it big in Hollywood. Some of the huge stars had started as child actors, like Scarlett Johanssen and Drew Barrymore. While some of the films were very popular, some became popular later just because of the presence of those stars in those films.  1. Empire of the Sun (Christian Bale): This incredible 1987 film, directed by Steven Spielberg, was actually considered a flop back when it was released. But watch it today, and you will be left wondering, was the audience blind? One of the biggest reasons for the movie to be so epic is the fact that the 12-year-old Christian Bale left a remarkable mark with his performance as the story's main protagonist "Jamie". He showed his talent at a tender age by portraying the part of the very difficult character of a wealthy and rather privileged boy be

5 Movies from 80s-90s We Still Love watching Today

The 80s and 90s were a time period when we were kids and were in school. Of course, we were not aware of and even were forbidden to watch most films other than the ones tagged as family movies. Here are a few amazing films we might have missed during the 80s and 90s when those were released, but we can watch them anytime; they are so good and always relatable. 1. Death Becomes Her (Comedy): This movie is hilarious and brilliantly made, given the time it was released. 2 obsessed women fight for beauty, fame, power and even over one man. The powerful cast of Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis and Goldie Hawn makes rivalry and fight so enjoyable in every shot. The scenes of fighting over petty things and materials, just to prove who's the best, are funny, especially when the man of their interest gets caught in between. This 1992 film is a must-watch for comedy film lovers. 2. Thelma & Louise (Crime/Drama): One of the most famous films of all time, Thelma & Louise was a film way ahe

5 Bengali Detectives from Books to Screen, Other Than Byomkesh & Feluda

By now, the entire nation has become aware of the great Bengali " Satyanweshi" (seeker of truth) Byomkesh Bakshi, thanks to his presence in national celluloid, first in the form of Basu Chatterji's TV series and then years later, Divakar Banerjee's film with the Late Sushant Singh Rajput. Then there is Feluda, the Bengali sleuth from Satyajit Ray's children's literature. These 2 detective characters of Bengal have become quite popular as movie characters too. However, apart from these 2, there are a few more Bengali sleuths that have marked their presence in movies. Today, I have listed a few such characters. 1. Kiriti: Nihar Ranjan Gupta's immortal detective Kiriti came to movies much later than his counterparts. There were multiple films made with a variety of actors playing the detective's part. First, it was veteran actor Chiranjit and then there was Preyangshu Chatterji but the one that caught the audience's fancy was Indraneil Sengupta's

5 Rom Coms to Watch Again & Again

Are there any movies that you would like to watch again and again? There were a few romantic comedy films of the '90s and 2000s that I had repeatedly watched but never got tired of. Today, I will be listing these films. 1. 50 First Dates: How adorable is the chemistry between the 2 lead characters, Henry (Adam Sandler) and Lucy (Drew Barrymore) in this 2004 film. Drew Barrymore's Lucy is cute and lovable, with whom one feels empathy, and Sandler's Henry is equally likeable. Both the actors' equations in the film were to the point. In spite of the repetitive nature of the incidents, the film creates a lasting impression and a pleasant feel. 2. The Ugly Truth: This  2009 film is another example of the sizzling chemistry between its lead pair, Katherine Heigl as Abby and Gerard Butler as Mike. Butler is scorchingly hot, and Heigl is as charming as ever. The 2 ambitious people and their growing bond with some uncomfortable sexual tension are the most memorable moments of
