Top 3 Horror Movies I Watched in 2025

I know, why talk about horror films during this festive season! Well, it's simple because I had watched a few of those and thought it would be a good idea to discuss them here on my weekly movie blog. Not necessarily; I had enjoyed watching all of them, but I will write about them all anyway.

1. Sinners: I haven't watched the Creed franchise, but have read rave reviews. So naturally, the presence of Michael B. Jordan had got me curious to watch this Vampire film. And I am not complaining at all. First of all, it's a very fashionable film. I liked the 1930s style, especially the attire worn by one of the twin characters, Smoke, played by Jordan. The opening night of the twin brothers' pub and the merry-making is a scene to remember. Some chilly sequences include the vampire's soulful singing of "Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go?" The action sequences are amazing. This is one horror film that I thoroughly enjoyed watching.

2. Final Destination:
Bloodlines: I will not exaggerate if I say that the first film of the franchise had hooked me till the end. After that, there were so many parts that I had lost count; it had turned into the Mission Impossible of the Horror genre. You know you are watching it, but you don't know exactly what part it is. Now, the latest one, released this year, had the dreadful incidents that had been taking place for decades, connected to a family history. Just like all the parts, this also has ample blood, crushed bones, severed body parts and other dreadful sequences. However, the climax scene really stole the show, here, as it was the most unexpected. Although I didn't enjoy the film that much, I must admit that the climax was exceptional.

3. The Monkey:
Horror comedies are interesting to watch, as some simple ones leave a mark by cleverly showing folly as the main weapon, while some fail to bring out the fun. This film is mediocre, as some of the scenes are effortlessly funny, but others fail to impress. Some of the probable funny sequences fell flat and appeared incomplete. Although the story is not entirely bad overall. It could have been much better. Am I the only one who found the Monkey to be cute? Whatever!

Hmm, I haven't yet watched The Conjuring 4 and 28 Years Later (I can hardly believe it).
