An Ode To December with 2 Poems

An Ode To December

While the mercury fluctuates and treads its own path with its free will,
The poison in the air crumbles the hope of another clean winter,
We still welcome you.
December, come with your beauty, your cool, your calm.
Shower us with your love and a clean, breezy winter.
We will embrace you and immerse in you!
Bring us that hope, that joy.
Be our Santa, December- for this year!

Winter-Ready

The cold season was about to start,
And we were getting ready.
But as we started cleaning the dirt,
We found a little teddy.

Buried inside heaps of old toys,
That belonged ones to one of the boys,
It peeped out with its twinkling eyes
And made us somewhat greedy.

We wanted to play once again,
Leaving all work behind to be in our den,
Of the same old winter house
Whose every corner we have to browse.
Before it starts to freeze
With snow and the blister-breeze.

So we keep the teddy aside,
Let it be there, let it hide.
We just stay in our pride
Of being wiser to make us winter-ready.
