7 Moods & 7 Songs of Rain #BlogchatterBlogHop
I love listening to songs most of the time, specially during doing household chores. It depends upon my mood as to what song should be on my playlist at that time.
This monsoon my playlist is going to be filled with songs of rain, one for every mood. Let' s find out:
1. Barso Re Megha Megha: The mood it captures is that of the first drops of rain, cooling the hot weather, drenching every bit of dryness with fresh droplets and the very first brush of it on the skin. A. R. Rehman's enchanting music and Gulzar's poetry makes one connect to the simplicity of nature during the rains, and the cherry on top is Shreya Ghoshal's magical voice.
2. Sawan Barse Tarse Dil: This song is the reminiscent of a rain filled day awaiting for the beloved. The feel of the rain drops makes one long for their lover. This wait is that bitter sweet feel we all have gone through in our lives. The music by Anand-Milind and Majrooh Sultanpuri's lyrics give that nostalgic feel of college romance of two young hearts waiting to meet. Hariharan and Sadhna Sargam take the song to another level with their romantic voices.
3. Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein: The powerful voices of Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar uplift the spirit of this romantic song. It is about two lovers enjoying each others company and the rain. A little bit of naughtiness, some playfullness and lot of romance are what this song conveys. Rain, two lovers lost in each other, RD Burman's tune and Anand Bakshi's rhythmic poetry- what else do we need?
4. Chak Dhum Dhum: The cutest and most playful rain song has to be this. It takes us back to those childhood rainy days of wading through the rain water, hopping on muddy puddles and floating paper boats. Friends and rain with fun and frolic is what this song composed by Uttam Singh bring us back. The lyrics by Anand Bakshi and the voices of Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan add to its innocent charm.
5. Tip Tip Barsa Paani: This song has the perfect sensuous touch brought eloquently by Alka Yagnik with her seductive voice, with due support from Udit Narayan. The music by Viju Shah is attractive along with Anand Bakshi's titilliating lyrics. This is perhaps the sexiest rain song I have heard till date.
6. Rimjhim Rimjhim Rumjhum Rumjhum: A beautiful love story and a beautiful love song with two lovers enjoying the sound of rainfall. They cherish every moment of the rain and their love increases with every drop. A fantastic composition by RD Burman and beautiful words by Mukul Dutt make the song one of the best rain songs.
7. Chham Chham: This is a beautiful song composed by Meet Bros and penned by Kumaar. Sung by Monali Thakur the song evokes a feeling of immersing oneself into the beauty of the rain, enjoying every bit of it. It gives that feel of carefree enjoyment one can have, without caring about anything and just soak in that moment.
