Top 5 Films with Talking Animals

Top post on Blogchatter

Keeping up with the holiday mood and continuing to write about movies for kids, today I am going to list a few films where there are animals who are shown talking. There are numerous animation films in this genre, however, I have chosen non-animation ones only. So without further delay, here is the list:

1. Dr. Dolittle (1999): A veterinary doctor suddenly gets the superpower to know the languages of all animals. Although it helps him to treat the animals properly, he comes across different scenarios where he becomes a saviour and rescuer of all animals in the process. Eddie Murphy stars in this very funny film, where animals talk incessantly throughout the movie. I am sure kids will find this film very enjoyable. There is a sequel to the film, which is interesting as well.

2. Stuart Little (1999): A family adopts a mouse, Stuart who can talk. The son of the family is first jealous of Stuart's entry, but Stuart slowly manages to win his heart to become his true brother. This film is hilarious with some touching moments. Michael J. Fox's incredible voiceover as Stuart the Mouse, takes it to another level. The sequel to this film was later released.

3. Cats & Dogs(2001): A raging tech-based war breaks out between cats and dogs, beyond the range of human awareness. The film is highly action packed. Although enjoyable due to the amazing CGI works and actions shown, it could have been made a bit funnier to actually make it appealing for the kids. There were a few sequels to this film.

4. Beverly Hills Chihuahua(2008): Chloe, a stylish and Diva like chihuahua gets lost in Mexico and meets various other animals there. She romances Papi, another Chihuahua, befriends Delgado, an ex-cop dog, gets tricked by a team of fraud Rat and Iguana, gets chased by a Doberman and gets dognapped by some animal traffickers. With voices of Drew Barrymore and Andy Garcia this film is very cute to watch with kids. There is a sequel to this film.

5. The Jungle Book (2016): This film, directed by John Favreau, is an incredible screen adaptation of Mowgli's tale. It has a gripping story with fabulous action and thrills to enchant the audience throughout its runtime. Voiceovers of Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyongo and Christopher Walken make it a film worth remembering.

So, these are a few films with talking animals that kids can enjoy. Please let me know of any other movies that can be included in this category in the comments section below.
